The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 protects women from harassment at work through internal complaints committees set up by employers.

18 Sep 2026Briefnewly addedOn 18 September 2026 the Supreme Court said the Act cannot apply rigidly to advocates, who have no employer. It urged the Union and the Bar Council of India to frame regulations covering every court and tribunal.
