20 Aug 2026Briefnewly addedSEBI found that 87.7 per cent of individual futures and options traders lost money in 2025-26, with net losses of about ₹91,685 crore. Active traders fell about 20 per cent, and about 92 per cent of the losses came from options. 24 Sep 2026Briefnewly addedAt its 215th meeting on 24 September the SEBI board approved new Portfolio Managers Regulations and Settlement Proceedings Regulations, 2026. It let Foreign Portfolio Investors trade non agricultural commodity derivatives. It widened accredited investor status, with ₹5 crore of market holdings for individuals and deemed status for non residents.
