Pitch Black is a multinational air combat exercise of the Royal Australian Air Force, held in northern Australia.

  1. 20 Jul 2026Briefnewly addedThe Indian Air Force sent four Rafale fighters and two C-17 transports, refuelled in the air by an IL-78 tanker, to the 2026 edition, from 20 July to 7 August. It brought together about 100 aircraft from Australia and 19 partner nations. It was the Rafale's first Pitch Black and India's fourth participation, after 2018, 2022 and 2024.
