1.Who we are

VidBodh (vidbodh.com) is operated by Vid Classes, Greater Kailash Enclave 2, New Delhi. Questions about this policy, requests about your data and grievances go to abhishek@vidbodh.com.

2.What we collect today

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run analytics on the site at present; if we add basic analytics, this page will say what they collect before they start.

• If you write to us through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the kind of enquiry and your message.
• If you join Daily Answer Writing: your name, email address and phone number if you give one. When you mark a day as written, we record the date against a scrambled code made from your email address, not the address itself.
• When you visit any page: the standard technical logs our hosting provider keeps, such as your IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time.
• On your own device only: whether you closed the site's announcement, kept in your browser's storage and never sent to us.

3.What we collect with a student account

• When you sign in with Google: your name and email address, as Google shares them with us. We never see your Google password.
• When you sign in with your email: your email address, and your name if you give it.
• When you take a quiz: your attempts, the answers you chose, your scores and the dates.

4.Why we collect it

We use your data for nothing else.

• To answer your enquiry.
• To send you the emails you signed up for, such as the daily questions.
• To run your account and show you your own quiz history and progress.
• To keep the site working and secure.

5.What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. Your quiz attempts and answers are yours: other students cannot see them.

6.Where it is kept

We use these service providers, each of which keeps data only to provide its service to us. Some of them may store data outside India.

• Vercel, which hosts the site and keeps its technical logs.
• Brevo, which holds our email lists and the enquiries sent through the contact form.
• Cloudflare, which holds the dates marked as written in Daily Answer Writing.
• Supabase, which holds student accounts and quiz attempts.
• Google, which handles sign in with Google once it is available.

7.How long we keep it

• Account details and quiz attempts: until you delete your account or ask us to delete them, and then deleted within 30 days of the request.
• Email list subscriptions, and the Daily Answer Writing dates that go with them: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Enquiries sent through the contact form: two years.
• Technical logs: for the standard short periods our hosting providers keep them.

8.Your choices

• Every email we send has a link to unsubscribe.
• To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to abhishek@vidbodh.com. We delete it within 30 days of your request.
• Once sign in is available, you can also delete your account yourself.
• Grievances about how your data is handled go to abhishek@vidbodh.com.

9.Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we change the date at the top of the page. If a change affects what we collect from account holders, we tell them by email.
